Zelensky Presents a 10-Point Peace Plan, Says Cavusoglu

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Ankara supports Kyiv's 10-point plan for the resolution of the situation in Ukraine. According to Çavuşoğlu, the Turkish side is working on the document.

"We believe that this war will end at the negotiating table, and it would be good to achieve that as soon as possible. There were certain developments in Istanbul last March, but new parameters and realities have emerged. Russia is now expressing its readiness for negotiations, and Zelensky has put forward a 10-point plan. We, Turkey, support this plan and are working on it," Çavuşoğlu said at a press conference in South Africa.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that the Ukrainian authorities wish to hold a “peace summit” by the end of February, potentially with the mediation of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Furthermore, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing sources from European and Ukrainian diplomatic circles, reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky's team is finalizing a "peace plan" consisting of ten points and intends to present its ideas in February.

Zelensky had previously stated that during his online speech at the G20 summit, he highlighted his vision for steps toward restoring peace in Ukraine, which consists of 10 points. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed in a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Russia's openness to dialogue regarding Ukraine on the condition that Kyiv meets known demands and considers new territorial realities.
