Moscow Is Not Waging War Against Kyiv, Says Russian Security Council Secretary
Moscow is not waging war against Kyiv; it is the West that is trying to confront Russia with the help of Ukrainians, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev stated in an interview with aif.ru.
“The events taking place in Ukraine are not a collision between Moscow and Kyiv, but rather a military confrontation involving NATO, specifically the U.S. and Great Britain, against Russia. Fearing a direct confrontation with us, NATO instructors are sending young Ukrainians to death,” Patrushev said.
The Security Council Secretary stated that with its special military operation, “Russia is liberating its regions from occupation and putting an end to the West's bloody attempts to exterminate the fraternal Ukrainian people.”
“We are not at war with Ukraine because we have no hatred towards ordinary Ukrainians, nor can we have such feelings,” Patrushev emphasized.
He also mentioned that the sooner Ukrainians realize that the West is waging war against Russia using their hands, the more lives will be saved. “The narrative regarding Ukraine has been spun in Washington to develop technologies for dividing one people (Russians and Ukrainians) and filling them with venom towards each other. Millions of people are forbidden to speak their native Russian language since birth and are forced to sever ties with their roots. The West is effectively annihilating the Ukrainian people to satisfy its own ambitions, pushing the young, active generation into the battlefield to perish, while the remaining population is driven into poverty,” Patrushev stated.
