Kremlin on Pashinyan's Proposal Regarding Peacekeepers

The Kremlin has stated that the Armenian government’s proposal to appeal to the UN Security Council is being discussed at the working level between Moscow and Yerevan. However, a resolution to the issue requires the consent of all parties involved in the conflict.

In response to journalists' inquiries, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that Yerevan does not rule out the possibility of appealing to the UN Security Council regarding the mandate of peacekeepers in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

Peskov said, “There are constant contacts at various levels, and of course, this topic has been on the agenda several times. However, it is clear that anything can only be forwarded with the agreement of both parties involved in the conflict.”
