Armenia Interested in India's Expertise for Its Su-30s, Indian Portal Reports
Armenia has not deployed the Su-30 aircraft acquired from Russia during the 44-day conflict in Artsakh. This is reported by the Indian specialized portal Indian Defence Research Wing. One of the reasons cited is that Armenian pilots were not sufficiently trained, and Armenia was unable to procure missiles before the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The publication notes that according to media reports, the Armenian Su-30s were only used as a platform for unguided missiles, which has led the Armenian side to plan for resource diversification to build its air force and seek assistance from India.
According to the report, the cooperation could range from pilot training to equipping with Indian-made missiles. "Armenia hopes to renew its air force and the newly acquired Su-30s," the media states.
