Georgia to Launch Its First UAV
Georgia, in collaboration with Poland, plans to launch a drone (UAV) in the coming months, announced Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili while presenting the government’s report on its activities in 2022.
“Together with a Polish company, we are starting the production of drones. The production of UAVs will begin in a few months. Our country will be able to produce several thousand drones,” said Garibashvili.
The Prime Minister also added that the republic is cooperating with Israeli company Rafael to strengthen air defense capabilities. This collaboration involves upgrading existing systems as well as acquiring new ones.
In November of this year, it was announced that Polish WB Electronics and the Georgian state military scientific-technical center “Delta” have established a joint venture called “Delta – WB,” which will produce unmanned aerial vehicles.
