Russia Launches Over 120 Missiles Towards Ukraine: Podolyak
On the morning of December 29, Russia launched over 120 missiles towards Ukraine. This was reported on Twitter by Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's chief of staff.
“More than 120 missiles across Ukraine aimed at destroying vital infrastructure and targeting peaceful civilians by the 'evil Russian world,'” Podolyak wrote at 09:21.
He added that he expects “new proposals” from those seeking security guarantees from Russia. “We await the next proposals from the ‘peacekeepers’ regarding ‘peaceful resolutions,’ ‘guarantees of Russia’s security,’ and the undesirability of provocations,” Podolyak stated.
It is recalled that on the morning of December 29, an air alert was declared in all regions of Ukraine, except for the western ones. By 8 AM, alarms had sounded throughout the republic.
As clarified by the Southern Operational Command, Russian forces have deployed two surface missile carriers on combat duty in the Black Sea, ready to launch up to 20 Kalibr missiles.
