Funding for the State Program 'Affordable Housing for Young Families' to Increase

The 'Affordable Housing for Young Families' state targeted program, implemented under the coordination of the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, has subsidized 787 families as of December 1, 2022, including 227 from Yerevan and 560 from the provinces.

The program started in 2010, during which the Armenian state budget has continuously subsidized a total of 5,574 families, including the families of 2022. The funding allocated from the state budget for the 'Affordable Housing for Young Families' program in 2022 amounted to 1 billion 737 million 500 thousand drams. It is projected that the state funding for the program will reach 2 billion 64 million 900 thousand drams in 2023.

For comparison, the amounts allocated from the Armenian state budget for the subsidies under the 'Affordable Housing for Young Families' program over the past two years were 1 billion 351 million 398 thousand 460 drams in 2021 and 1 billion 146 million 929 thousand 700 drams in 2020.
