Government Announces Drafting of Reserve Officer Medical Specialists for Mandatory Military Service
The Government made a decision during its meeting today, December 22, to announce a draft for the mandatory military service of the reserve officer corps of medical specialists for the year 2022.
The drafting will take place from December 26 to February 20, 2023, inclusive, and pertains to male medical specialists registered in the reserve officer corps of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, who are under the age of 35. The duration of service is set for two years.
The number of individuals subject to drafting from the reserve officer corps has been limited to a maximum of 10 medical specialists.
The justification for the decision states that male citizens of the reserve officer corps are subject to mandatory military service until they reach the age of 35. The drafting of reserve officers is announced by the Government's decision at least once a year.
There is a need to conduct the draft from December 26, 2022, to February 20, 2023, and the demobilization of those who have completed mandatory military service in the officer corps should be carried out by February 20, 2023, inclusive.
