Yes, only Russia legitimized the so-called environmental actions or the topic of mines in the UN: Abrahamyan

Former MP Gayane Abrahamyan's post: “The meeting of the UN Security Council yesterday was one of the important victories of Armenian diplomacy, and this should be noted, accepted, and supported in these efforts.

Many are skeptical about what results this will yield; it is natural as international mechanisms have become ineffective. However, expecting immediate and direct results is naive, if not a sign of political ignorance. Diplomatic moves can only have a cumulative effect, and every step conditions the success of the next one.

Discussions about how the representative of Russia spoke are meaningless; we expected no more, yes, it was only they who had to legitimize the so-called environmental actions or the topic of mines, a subject no representative of any country, aside from Azerbaijan, discussed. This is not new; it has long been a fact, and I hope that this fact will finally be visible to the leaders of Artsakh.

Aliyev, with this 'environmental' farce, granted us the chance to once again bring the issue of Artsakh to the high podium of the UN Security Council at a crucial moment, working correctly with both permanent and temporary members.

These diplomatic efforts should also include public diplomacy, public support mechanisms, and protests not only in Yerevan but also in decisive capitals with the support of the Diaspora. We must understand that there is a battle of nerves ongoing, to see who will endure and not resort to violent actions. No matter how severe the situation is, it is emotionally very difficult to endure; nonetheless, we must be extremely cautious in all our statements and calls; this is indeed very important.”
