What Russia and Azerbaijan are Agreeing on to Resolve the Situation in Lachin: Russian Representative at the UN
Russia expects that the restoration of transportation communication through the Lachin Corridor, which connects Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, will take place in the near future. This was stated by the Russian representative at the United Nations during a discussion on the situation surrounding the Lachin Corridor in the UN Security Council, according to Armenpress.
"We expect that full transportation communication will be restored in the near future. The Russian side has been making all necessary efforts through the Ministry of Defense, the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in recent days for the prompt resolution of the situation in the Lachin Corridor. Regular communications have been organized with our Armenian and Azerbaijani partners," he stated.
According to the Russian representative, as a result of this work, it has been possible to resume gas supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh and to partially unblock traffic through the corridor. "The procedure for visits by Azerbaijani environmental experts to the mines in Nagorno-Karabakh is being agreed upon," he concluded.
