Iranian Basketball Players Remove Hijabs in Show of Solidarity
Iranian basketball players have removed their hijabs in solidarity with protesters. It is important to note that all women in Iran are required to wear hijabs. Failure to comply with this mandate can result in severe punishment.
The rules apply even to athletes competing abroad. Earlier, we reported that several well-known actresses in Iran were arrested for removing their hijabs.
