Switzerland to Hold First Large-Scale Military Exercises in 33 Years

Switzerland will conduct military exercises named PILUM 22, involving more than 5,000 servicemen. This exercise will mark the first of its kind for the country in the past 33 years, according to the government's announcement, as reported by Live.

"During PILUM 22, the armed forces will test the interaction of various elements within the mechanized brigade. The exercises will include assessments of capabilities to protect the country and its citizens in a military conflict, including on land," the government statement said.

The events will involve four mechanized battalions, a logistics battalion, and a mountain infantry company, totaling over five thousand military personnel.
