One Cannot Blame Zelensky. The White House on Negotiations Regarding Ukraine

The United States will not discuss the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict with Russia without Kyiv’s participation, stated White House official John Kirby, as reported by RT.

He also noted that the U.S. is not urging Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to engage in negotiations with Russia. According to Kirby, the decision regarding the willingness for dialogue must be made independently in Kyiv.

“We will not discuss the end of the war with the Russians without Ukraine's participation. That is not happening now, as Zelensky has made it clear, and he cannot be blamed for that,” emphasized the political figure.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that dialogue with the West could become an enhancing factor in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He added that the instructions coming from the West are “implemented with great meticulousness by Kyiv.”
