Scandalous Revelations in the Patrol Service
'Pats' newspaper reports: 'Days ago, media outlets released footage showing how the driver of the official vehicle servicing the head of the Patrol Service of the Republic of Armenia, Arthur Umrshatyan, was driving without a seatbelt, along with Umrshatyan himself riding alongside.
About two weeks have passed, and there has yet to be any official announcement regarding the disciplinary measures taken against Umrshatyan, or whether he has faced any repercussions at all. However, it appears that further scandals involving the head of the Patrol Service are on the horizon.
According to credible information obtained by 'Pats' newspaper, the State Audit Office is conducting large-scale inspections in many state agencies, including those related to vehicle fleets. Our sources inform us that serious abuses have also been uncovered within the Patrol Service. One of the issues reportedly involves the removal and sale of catalytic converters from several vehicles of the Patrol Service.
Our sources further indicate that there have been no consequences so far, as the inspections are extensive and still ongoing. After their completion, there will be quite significant revelations. According to our information, this data has been presented to the Prime Minister, and it is possible that this entire scandal will conclude with Umrshatyan's resignation.
This topic is so broad that additional resignations in various state agencies are also possible.
Moreover, the outcomes of some studies have reportedly been forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia for legal evaluation and to determine the further course of action.'
