Staff Reshuffle at the Anti-Corruption Committee
The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that according to its information, the head of the Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee, Sasun Khachatryan, has initiated a staff reshuffle and is dismissing investigators who are filing lawsuits against the committee's decisions in court.
It has become known that Simon Harutyunyan, a senior investigator from the committee's investigative third department handling particularly important cases, has appealed to the Administrative Court against the decision of the committee's president Sasun Khachatryan.
Harutyunyan's lawsuit requests that the court compel the committee president to acknowledge his success in the interview phase of the competition for filling autonomous positions at the Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee and recognize him as the winner of the competition. As a result, he seeks to have the order of termination of his employment issued by Sasun Khachatryan declared invalid and to recover his average salary for the entire period of enforced inactivity, starting from October 24, 2022.
In other words, the citizen has passed the necessary competition stage for appointment, received a favorable evaluation, but has not been appointed to the position, and is now demanding not only reinstatement but also compensation for the time spent in enforced inactivity.
