Peskov on the Explosion in Poland
The response from Warsaw to the missile incident that occurred in Poland could have been more professional, especially when it comes to such a sensitive topic, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
"Perhaps questions should be directed to Warsaw. After all, we ask Polish officials to be more reserved, more balanced, and professional at times when addressing such sensitive and potentially dangerous topics," Peskov said in response to a reporter's question about why Poland had not immediately reported the C-300 missile incident, despite having the ability to do so.
According to Peskov, the response from Poland regarding the missile incident was yet another instance of unrestrained Russophobia, which was not based on actual data. The Kremlin would like to see the same emotional response regarding the attacks on the "Nord Stream".
Polish media reported on November 15 that two people were killed as a result of missiles falling on Polish territory. The Republic's Foreign Ministry announced that the missiles that fell in Poland were of Russian production. Polish President Andrzej Duda noted that Warsaw does not have precise information on whose missiles they are.
U.S. President Joe Biden stated that preliminary information contradicts the theory of Russian missiles being involved. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, photographs taken at the incident site in Przewodów indicate that fragments of a Ukrainian anti-air defense C-300 system missile had fallen there.
