David Babayan on Azerbaijani Claims of Transferring Military Equipment via the Lachin Corridor

"This is information that does not correspond to reality. This is geopolitical blackmail, informational blackmail, and terrorism," stated David Babayan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, in an interview with Aravot, regarding the reports circulating through Azerbaijani Telegram channels that military equipment is supposedly being transferred to Artsakh under the guise of so-called 'humanitarian aid.'

David Babayan emphasized that it is very easy to verify this misinformation and explained: "There are cameras installed along the entire length. Everything is visible. Even in this situation, if they resort to such actions, it is natural that it is a manipulation, an informational terrorism, which has nothing to do with reality. Therefore, this is the problem. I think this is also a blow to the Russian peacekeepers. What does it mean, i.e., military equipment, terrorists? Such things are being written. What is this, are they doing this against Russia, especially after the meeting in Sochi? This is also geopolitically a blow to the Russian peacekeeping mission; this is a policy of destabilization."

According to David Babayan, the Azerbaijani side is doing this skillfully, as seen on Telegram channels, etc. He noted that occasionally state figures also talk about it, which prompted Babayan to reiterate, "There is absolutely no basis for this, and he stressed: 'This is misinformation. There are cameras that show everything, including a camera installed near Shushi in the area under their control.'"

In Babayan's view, all these statements cannot go unnoticed by the Russian peacekeepers and other bodies. He characterized this as blatant blackmail, manipulation, and propaganda.
