Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan's Assistant Released
The Armenian Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge A. Bekhtashyan, on November 16, has granted the lawyers' appeal and released the assistant of Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan from the courtroom. This was announced by lawyer Garik Galikyan on his Facebook page.
It is noteworthy that in October, the court had detained Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan, her assistant, and lawyer Erik Aleksanyan. The judge is accused of issuing an evidently unjust judicial act and exceeding her official powers. Arusyak Aleksanyan's powers have been suspended.
Her assistant is accused of assisting Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan in exceeding her official powers and in the issuance of an evidently unjust judicial act. Erik Aleksanyan is also accused of assisting in the exceeding of powers by a public official.
