Iran's Foreign Ministry Expresses Discontent in Conversation with Bayramov
Following recent anti-Iranian statements from the President of Azerbaijan and several officials, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, expressed his discontent during a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, referring to those statements as unrealistic, according to IRNA.
It was noted that during the phone call on Tuesday evening, Amir-Abdollahian reiterated that respecting the sovereignty of countries is an important and fundamental principle that must be considered. He regarded official and diplomatic channels as the best means for resolving misunderstandings and disagreements, emphasizing that raising such issues in the media not only does not assist in resolving the problem but also opens the door for adversaries to exploit the situation.
The Iranian Foreign Minister invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to participate in the upcoming '3+3' meeting in Tehran as a framework for resolving regional issues through diplomatic strategies.
