Who is Private 20-Year-Old Vahe Hovhannisyan, Who Died from a Colleague's Gunshot?

On November 15, 2023, Private 20-year-old Vahe Hovhannisyan from the village of Balak in the Syunik region died from a gunshot wound caused by a colleague. This information was provided to News.am by the Sisian community administration.

Vahe was scheduled to be discharged from the army on July 12, 2023. In recent years, he had moved to Yerevan with his family.

The Ministry of Defense has stated that an investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
