VIDEO: Taron Killed 4 Azerbaijanis, His Father Tells Anna Hakobyan
Anna Hakobyan, the wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, visited the family of Taron Andreasian, a hero of the 44-day war. She was welcomed by Taron's father, Harutyun, and his brother, Vahen.
Taron Andreasian is known from a viral video where he stands alone against dozens of Azerbaijanis, who urged him to surrender, promising not to harm him and to hand him over to a third country. However, Taron made a different decision; he drew his submachine gun, fired until his last breath, and was killed.
Taron Andreasian was 26 years old during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. He had lived and worked in the Russian Federation for more than five years. He returned to Armenia on October 5, at the onset of the war, and hurried to volunteer to fulfill his duty to his homeland.
Despite his haste, Taron only managed to put on his military uniform on October 19, and two days later, he was already in Artsakh, serving as a platoon commander. He was a reconnaissance soldier by profession.
At the request of Anna Hakobyan, Taron’s father shared the details of their last phone call. Harutyun spoke with his son for the last time on October 26. Taron mentioned that he had found himself surrounded, and his last words to his father were that he would not go into captivity under any circumstances and that he would detonate himself.
According to Harutyun's information, the events took place in Kashuni (Sanasar). Taron was accompanied by another soldier, but they lost each other while trying to take cover from enemy fire. Taron’s unit retreated, but he decided to stay and continue fighting.
His father believes that the video was recorded on October 27, and based on the information he has received, Taron killed four Azerbaijanis. Anna Hakobyan expressed her gratitude to Taron's parents for raising such a son, whose heroic act is invaluable.
