Video: Participant of Three-Month Gatherings Transmitted Position Information for Nude Photos

The officers of the Military Counterintelligence Department of the National Security Service of Armenia have uncovered another case of state treason as part of their operational investigative activities aimed at combating crimes.

According to the NSS, it has been established that an Armenian citizen, soldier E.A., who participated in the three-month gatherings declared by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia from August to November 2021, briefly came into contact with information constituting state and service secrets.

In October 2021, via the Facebook social network, he became acquainted with a person working for a foreign special service under a pseudonym and, following personal interest, was recruited by this individual. During the same period, he collected and transmitted classified information regarding his assigned position, its exact location, the number of personnel on duty, and the procedures for carrying out service via the WhatsApp application on his mobile phone. In return, he reportedly received nude photos of his interlocutor.

The individual has been arrested within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings at the NSS investigative department. The pre-trial investigation continues.
