Armenia Needs Guarantees for Peace Treaty, says Marukyan
The Special Ambassador of Armenia, Edmond Marukyan, sees a need for guarantors from permanent member states of the UN for a future peace treaty that may be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Marukyan made this statement on his Twitter account.
“Over the past two years, Azerbaijan has consistently violated and distorted the trilateral ceasefire statement. What guarantees are there that Azerbaijan will not violate or misinterpret the future peace treaty after signing it? Armenia needs guarantors for the peace treaty, at least from the five permanent members of the UN,” stated Marukyan.
