5 million drams spent on purchasing tables for National Assembly buffet, around 7 million drams for construction work - "Haykakan Jamanak"
According to the "Haykakan Jamanak" newspaper, the National Assembly of Armenia has spent 5 million drams of state funds on the purchase of tables for the parliamentary cafeteria. The newspaper informs that four-person dining tables with chairs were purchased through a procurement procedure from a single individual. A total of 25 tables were bought, with a unit price of 200 thousand drams. The National Assembly’s staff signed a contract with individual entrepreneur Manuk Galstyan.
In addition, the National Assembly's staff has spent 6 million 940 thousand drams on construction work. This means that nearly 7 million drams have been spent on renovating the cafeteria. It is noteworthy that earlier, in October, the government had approved a decision among non-reported projects, allowing the National Assembly to make a purchase from the funds allocated for overseas trips, amounting to 31 million drams, for the renovation of the parliamentary buffet-cafeteria.
According to that decision, the staff of the National Assembly plans to carry out improvements and upgrades to the parliamentary buffet-cafeteria, providing modern professional household and public catering equipment, ventilation systems, furniture for the hall, and dishes. It should be noted that construction work is still ongoing at this time.
