The Perpetrator of the Terror Attack in Iran is Azerbaijani: What Iranian Newspapers are Reporting

The Iranian newspaper Vatan-e-Emruz has featured an article on its front page titled "Terror Attack in Shah-Cheragh Led by ISIS from Baku". It is worth noting that the Ministry of Information and National Security of the Islamic Republic of Iran has reported that the leader and coordinator of the terrorist act in Shah Cheragh is a citizen of Azerbaijan who came to Iran from Baku. All participants in the crime are members of ISIS from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.

Just yesterday, we reported that the terror attack at the Shah-Cheragh shrine in Shiraz was prepared by an Azerbaijani citizen. This was announced today by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.

According to the statement, "The main organizer and coordinator of the terrorist group’s actions in the country was an Azerbaijani citizen who, upon arriving in Tehran, immediately contacted representatives of the ISIS group in Afghanistan and informed them that he was in Iran. Also involved in the group that organized the mosque attack were citizens of Afghanistan and Tajikistan."

A total of 26 individuals have been detained on suspicion of participating in the organization of the attack on Shah-Cheragh. All of them are citizens of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.

It should be recalled that on October 26, three unidentified individuals opened fire on the Shah-Cheragh shrine in Shiraz.
