Joe Biden Confuses Number of States in the U.S.
Joe Biden mistakenly stated the number of states in the United States, claiming that the country is composed of 54 administrative units, according to Fox News.
While speaking in Pennsylvania during a campaign event, which the Democrats conducted in 2018, the President indicated that they had visited 54 states. “No joke. That's why we won in 2018. We were in 54 states,” Biden said.
However, the United States is actually comprised of 50 states and the District of Columbia.
On August 31, Biden confused the first sentence of the U.S. Constitution with that of another document, the Declaration of Independence. Additionally, on August 29, lawmakers called for Biden's resignation after he appeared to nap during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
