Tatevik Hayrapetyan: "Azerbaijan is Concerned About Iran's Statements"

Former MP Tatevik Hayrapetyan has shared a video with the caption: "In the report titled 'Pro-Armenian Policy' prepared by Azerbaijani AZ TV, they address the statements, warnings, and military exercises coming from Iran. The presenter raises the question of whether Iran is afraid of Azerbaijan's power, recalling that in December 2020, during a 'military parade' in Baku, Erdogan recited a quatrain quoting the Azerbaijani poet Ahmed Javad: 'The Aras was divided from us, filled with iron and stones, I would not separate from you, we were forcibly divided...'. According to the presenter, this has stirred many Turkic-speaking people living in Iran.

In my opinion, what concerns Azerbaijan the most is that Iran has declared that Armenia's security is Iran's security, which complicates the situation for launching a large-scale aggression against us. This precious period and temporary pause should be maximally utilized intelligently, as the number one guardian of our security is still ourselves."
