Zatuliny's Entry to Armenia is Banned

The entry of Konstantin Zatuliny, the Chairman of the Russian Federation’s Commission for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, into the Republic of Armenia has been banned, according to reports from ‘Haykakan Jamanak’ citing its sources.

Zatuliny is now regarded as a persona non grata in Armenia. It is noteworthy that in his public interviews, Zatuliny has repeatedly accused the Armenian authorities of the defeat in the 44-day war.

According to the outlet, Zatuliny has intervened in Armenia's internal political affairs on multiple occasions, openly stating that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan should resign.

Moreover, during his last visit to Armenia, he accused the Armenian authorities of sowing discord in Armenian-Russian relations. In an interview with ‘Yerkir Media’, he blamed the Prime Minister for signing an agreement regarding a 'corridor' through Armenia’s sovereign territory. “Questions about the possible corridor should be directed to the signatories; the 'corridor' was signed by Pashinyan,” Zatuliny stated.

However, it should be noted that the trilateral statement of November 9 does not mention a corridor through Armenia’s sovereign territory but only discusses the Lachin corridor.
