Russia to Expand Logistics Corridors, Says Mishustin

Russia intends to expand logistics corridors in cooperation with its partners, having already identified three priority directions. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during the 'Made in Russia' conference.

“We are working on the expansion of transport logistics corridors with reliable partners. The government has identified three key development directions: Azov-Black Sea, Eastern, and Caspian. These serve as a foundation for the expansion of trade and economic ties,” said the head of the Russian government.

He added that decisions are currently being tested in conjunction with regional authorities and businesses that will help accelerate the processing of cargo several times.

According to Mishustin, the non-raw material goods shipped to the Asia-Pacific region are growing rapidly in the eastern direction. At the same time, work is underway to develop the western route of the international 'North-South' transport corridor for supplies to Iran, the Middle East, and South Asia, where it is planned to increase cargo turnover to 15 million tons per year with partners in the Caspian region by 2030.

Mishustin also noted that before the restrictions, all services for the transportation of Russian goods abroad were carried out by eight major international companies, which have now left the market.
