EU to Provide 10 Million Euros to Armenia

The European Union will allocate 10 million euros to the Armenian government for the establishment of a newly formed Ministry of Internal Affairs and for police reforms.

The support will be provided to the government under the grant funding agreement titled "EU for Resilient and Accountable Institutions: Police and Migration Reforms and Human Rights Protection in Armenia," which the government is set to approve during the meeting on October 20.

Through this technical assistance program, support will be provided for the improvement of migration services to promote well-managed and secure mobility. Beneficiary bodies will include the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Migration Service, and the police. Armenia will not have a co-financing obligation under this program.
