US Congressman Discusses Armenian-American Military Cooperation

During her visit to Armenia, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi addressed a question regarding the military assistance Armenia might expect from the US, stating that she is in Armenia to listen to the expectations of the Armenian side regarding this issue.

One month later, journalists at a press conference in the National Assembly asked David Price, Chairman of the Democratic Partnership Committee of the US House of Representatives, about specific plans regarding Armenian-American military cooperation.

“I do not have any specific announcement to make today, but I believe Speaker Pelosi has responded very clearly,” Price replied.

He added that the balance of power in the region has changed, which may also lead to changes in the security domain.

“It is clear that the balance in the region is shifting considering the events related to Russia. Perhaps certain powers are no longer as radical as they once were, and undoubtedly, there will be changes. Discussions are currently taking place both among our allies and with them, particularly regarding how relationships will develop, including in the security domain. I can say that these discussions are quite intense,” stated David Price.
