Turkey's Foreign Minister: Armenia Responded Positively, Though Late

During a press conference following the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Turkic-speaking countries, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Azerbaijan has offered Armenia a comprehensive peace treaty to sign after the war, to which Armenia has responded positively, albeit delayed. The information was reported by the APA agency.

According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, one of the 'justified' demands presented by Azerbaijan to Armenia is that the 'Zangezur Corridor' should have a status equivalent to that of the Lachin Corridor.

Çavuşoğlu also drew parallels between the processes of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey. 'The process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan will positively influence the process of normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia,' stated the Turkish Foreign Minister.
