Armenian Sambo Athletes Have Already Won 20 Medals

On the final day of the Sambo World Youth Championship held in Yerevan, Armenian sambo athletes succeeded in winning three more bronze medals. This information was reported by the Armenian Sambo Federation.

Bronze medals were earned by Arpine Mnatsakanyan in the 50 kg weight category, Mesrop Nikoyan in the 64 kg weight category, and Gor Harutyunyan in the 88 kg weight category.

Consequently, Armenian sambists have won a total of 20 medals during the World Youth Championship, including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 17 bronze medals.

It is worth noting that the Sambo World Championship is taking place in Yerevan, and today marks the third and final day of competitions. On the first day of the championship, Armenia secured 14 medals, 2 of which were silver and 12 bronze. During the second day, Armenian athletes added 3 more medals to their tally, including one gold.

In the 53 kg weight category for youth at the Sambo World Championship, Robert Simonian became the world champion.
