Emergency Situations Ministry Addresses Protests by Employees of 'Pethak' Trade Center

On October 7, in reference to the Yerevan.Today.am publication titled ‘Pethak Will Not Operate from Today. Traders Are Protesting Near the Government’, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reports that claims stating that employees of the 'Pethak' trade center were denied access to the facility are untrue. The MES has issued a clarification on this matter.

The clarification states: 'We inform you that the MES rescue service is providing security in the area of the collapsed building of the 'Surmalu' trade center during the dismantling works. At the same time, we notify that the MES employees do not have any orders or directives to prohibit the entry and exit of 'Pethak' trade center employees, and they have not carried out and are not carrying out any such actions; therefore, the circulating information is misleading.'
