KTHA Inspection Body Explains Decision to Halt Activities of 'Pethak' LLC
The KTHA Inspection Body of Armenia has issued a statement outlining the reasons behind its decision to suspend the operations of 'Pethak' LLC, located at 17a Arshakunyats Street, Yerevan.
According to the announcement, inspections were carried out at the company from June 14 to 18, 2021, under an order from the head of the State Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspection Body of Armenia. As a result of these inspections, 12 violations of fire safety regulations were identified.
Based on this, an administrative protocol was drawn up, and the company’s director was held administratively liable. Furthermore, the inspection body provided the company with an order to rectify the identified violations, allowing for a reasonable deadline for compliance, which was set for June 23, 2022.
Following the inspections, from August 22 to 25, 2022, a study was conducted to verify compliance with the requirements outlined in the previously issued order. It was found that the fire safety violations documented in the previous year’s fire technical survey had not been fully addressed, and the infractions remained unrectified.
As such, the continuation of operations by the company under these circumstances could pose an immediate and direct threat to public safety. Consequently, guided by Article 20, Part 2, Clause 'e' of the Law on Fire Safety and Article 38, Part 3 of the Law on Principles of Administrative Proceedings and Administrative Procedure, the KTHA Inspection Body has made the decision to halt the activities of 'Pethak' LLC.
