India to Provide Armenia with a Grant of 478 Million AMD
The government approved a memorandum of understanding during its session today, October 6, regarding the grant assistance provided by India for the implementation of high-efficiency community development programs in Armenia.
The memorandum was signed on July 4, 2022. A grant of 478.2723 million AMD is planned to be allocated for the implementation of high-efficiency programs aimed at community development in Armenia.
Projects carried out under the memorandum should primarily relate to socio-economic development, support for improving living standards, empowering women, ensuring the welfare of children, and facilitating community life. Specific areas of focus will include medical education, education promoting inclusion in specific targeted groups, developing digital skills and cybersecurity education, high-tech industry, micro-irrigation, renewable energy, trade, transportation and communication, and the creation of infrastructure in other sectors as mutually agreed upon by the parties.
