“It Felt Like Someone Was Rocking Me in Bed”: Residents Talk about the Earthquake that Occurred Overnight
Auroranews recently reported that an earthquake was felt in the Syunik province at 4:21 AM, reaching a magnitude of 5-6, while in the Vayots Dzor and Ararat provinces it was recorded at 3-4, and a magnitude of 3 was felt in the Kotayk province, Yerevan, and Stepanakert in the Republic of Artsakh.
Facebook user Navasard Khachatryan commented on the overnight event, saying, “It was quite a powerful earthquake. It felt like someone was rocking me in bed.”
Residents from the mentioned provinces also shared their experiences: “There was an earthquake, everyone. It lasted quite a while...” commented one. Another added, “It shook very strongly in Sisian,” while someone from Jermuk noted, “It was also quite strong here.” One resident remarked, “It was after 4 AM; I even received a notification from Google that it was 290 km away from us.” Another shared, “I woke up from the shaking of the bed.”
