Macron Appears in High-Neck Sweaters for the First Time as a Sign of Energy Conservation
French President Emmanuel Macron has made his debut appearance in high-neck sweaters, a clothing choice adopted by French officials as a substitute for traditional shirts and ties to save on heating costs, reports Kp.ru.
Today, October 3, Macron recorded a video message dedicated to the launch of the National Council for Restructuring (CNR) online platform, where people can express their initiatives on urgent issues such as climate change or employment.
At the same time, local publications noted that Macron was wearing a jacket and a high-neck sweater, which have become a new symbol of the "energy sobriety" policy declared by the country's leader this summer.
Previously, the French were urged to urgently start saving on electricity and gas consumption.
