Erdogan and Pashinyan to Meet Tomorrow: Sabah

The pro-government Turkish newspaper Sabah reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Prague.

According to Sabah, during the meeting planned within the framework of the European Political Community Summit on October 6 in the capital of the Czech Republic, the Turkish president will convey messages to the Armenian prime minister, specifically that meetings of special representatives appointed to normalize bilateral relations should take place consistently in Turkey and Armenia, rather than in third countries.

Additionally, the Turkish president will emphasize that in order to reduce tensions in the region, Armenia "must refrain from provocations and also sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan," the newspaper writes.

The Armenian side has not yet officially announced the upcoming Pashinyan-Erdoğan meeting. Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then the prime minister indicated that such a meeting was possible.
