We Have an Order to Restore Armenia's Sovereign Territories, Says Deputy Chief of General Staff

Yerevan—The events of the previous day transpired precisely because we are responding; we do not allow them to advance, we do not let them dig in, nor do we permit them to bring in equipment. This was stated today, September 29, in Vardenis, by Major General Arakel Martikyan, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, during a meeting with Armenian diplomatic representatives.

“We must do everything to prevent the enemy from digging in. As for the countermeasures being planned, I cannot explicitly disclose them. Ultimately, we have an order to restore the sovereign territories of Armenia. It is the duty of the armed forces to execute the command from above. We will do everything to achieve that. You have probably heard that Armenia is a certain number of square kilometers; we must secure that much,” he stated.
