Grape Farmers Protest: What Has Been Offered to Producers
Grape farmers from the Armavir region have been protesting for over two hours in front of the main government building. They insist that they have cultivated grapes as usual, but as October approaches, they are not being given clear information about where and how much they should harvest.
The farmers are frustrated because the proposed harvest price is 100 drams per kilogram, while the cost of producing grapes is 120 drams for them. The governor of Armavir has come to the government to find answers to their concerns. According to residents, the prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan, is set to meet with the governor.
Recently, a government representative approached the grape farmers and informed them to go to the Ministry of Economy, where they will be received. The farmers from Armavir are now heading to the ministry building.
