US Pressures Kyiv to Shift Military Operations to Russia: Putin Warns the West

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday, after finishing a televised address on partial mobilization, that he believes in the support of the country's citizens, according to TASS.

“Those who are trying to blackmail us with nuclear weapons should know that the wind rose can also turn towards them,” emphasized the head of state.

“It is in the historical tradition of our people, in the fate of our nation to stop those who aspire to global dominance, who threaten to divide and enslave our Homeland, our country. We will do this now, too. And so it will be. I believe in your support,” concluded Putin.

According to him, Washington is pushing Kyiv to shift military operations into Russian territory, and nuclear blackmail is already being used. “In Washington, London, and Brussels, they are directly urging Kyiv to transfer military operations to our territory, openly stating that Russia must be defeated on the battlefield by all means, which will be followed by the deprivation of economic, political, cultural, and any sovereign rights, culminating in the complete plundering of our country,” Putin said.

“Nuclear blackmail has also been put into effect,” emphasized Putin. The Russian president explained that this concerns not only the shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which poses a risk of nuclear disaster but also statements by senior representatives of leading NATO countries regarding the possibility and permissibility of using weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, against Russia.

“To those who make such statements regarding Russia, I want to remind them that our country also has means of destruction, some components of which are more modern than those of NATO countries. And if our territorial integrity is threatened, we will certainly use all means at our disposal to protect Russia and our people,” Putin stated.
