Armenia is Russia's Closest Ally and Strategic Partner, Says Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized during a ceremony for the presentation of credentials of foreign ambassadors that Armenia is the closest friend and strategic ally of the Russian Federation, according to TASS.
“Taking this opportunity, I would like to congratulate the fraternal Armenian people and the leadership of the country on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrated tomorrow. This year marks two significant anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries and the 15th anniversary of the signing of the fundamental treaty of friendship, cooperation, and mutual assistance,” said Putin.
Moscow and Yerevan continue intensive political dialogue, added the Russian President. Putin recalled that in 2022 alone, he met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan three times, including recently in Vladivostok during the Eastern Economic Forum.
