Blinken Urges Aliyev to Return Armed Forces to Their Deployment Sites

The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a phone conversation with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev. The American official announced this on his Twitter page.

"Today I spoke with President Aliyev of Azerbaijan to welcome the recent ceasefire and call for the armed forces to return to their deployment locations, as well as to return to peaceful negotiations," he wrote.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Edward Asryan, reported that the adversary has penetrated the sovereign territory of Armenia with a front that is 8.5 kilometers wide and up to 7.5 kilometers deep. According to him, the Azerbaijanis are located 4.5 kilometers from the outskirts of Jermuk, adding that they have advanced 1.5 kilometers in the direction of Verin Hand and Shorzha, and 0.5 kilometers towards Ishkhanasar.
