Zas Will Arrive in Armenia Next Week

The Secretary General of the CSTO, Stanislav Zas, is scheduled to travel to Armenia next week. A leading group of the mission, headed by the Chief of the Organization's Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, will arrive on September 15. This was reported to TASS by CSTO spokesperson Vladimir Zainetdinov.

The CSTO has initiated the implementation of the agreements reached during the extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council held on Tuesday. These agreements pertain to the direction of the organization's mission to Armenia to assess the situation created in certain areas along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, and to prepare a detailed report by the leaders of the member states.

According to Zainetdinov, the mission will include representatives from the CSTO member states, who are staff members of the organization's secretariat and military personnel from the CSTO Joint Staff.
