Pashinyan Discusses Armenia-West and Armenia-EU Relations with Putin
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Vladivostok, where they discussed Armenia's relationship with the West, among other issues. He shared this information during a meeting with the Armenian community in Vladivostok.
"We discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, as well as questions related to the activities of Russian peacekeepers in the region. I have expressed my high appreciation for the work of Russian peacekeepers, but I have also noted that there are additional questions that require further regulation. We talked about issues related to air transport, as both Russia and Armenia want to activate air transportation between us. We discussed regional problems, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and between Armenia and Turkey, including Russia's approaches, positions, and potential roles in these matters. We have also exchanged views and expressed our positions on issues related to Armenia’s relations with the West and the EU," the Prime Minister stated.
The head of government emphasized that Armenia's and Russia's perceptions on these issues are closely aligned, as Armenia is working very openly and transparently on this matter. Akey topics of the meeting with Putin also included the unblocking of regional communications and the issue of the return of prisoners.
