Devastating Forest Fire Rages in California: Injuries and Evacuations Reported

A severe forest fire has been raging in California for several days, resulting in injuries to eight firefighters as the flames continue to spread. According to Readovka, more than 2000 hectares of forest are burning near Hughes Lake, close to Los Angeles. Firefighters have been unable to extinguish the blaze, despite the involvement of 360 personnel and 15 helicopters in the firefighting efforts. So far, the fire has only been contained in about 12% of the area.

According to local media reports, during the firefighting efforts, eight firefighters were injured, with six requiring medical assistance. They were transported to the hospital due to burn injuries and heat exhaustion.

Authorities have ordered local residents to evacuate to the north. Experts believe the fire was caused by the region's anomalous heat. Additionally, the heavy smoke has blocked the highway in both directions. The fire has been classified as a fifth alarm emergency.
