Video Released of Assassination Attempt on Argentina's Vice President

A man armed with a pistol has attacked Argentina's Vice President Cristina Kirchner, according to local media reports.

Police have arrested the assailant, who has been identified as a 35-year-old Brazilian citizen. He had previously been detained in March for carrying a weapon.

Footage of the assassination attempt on Vice President Kirchner has also been published. Reports indicate that the assailant's firearm was loaded, but he misfired.
