Tourist Bus Goes Off Cliff in Turkey: 5 Dead, 40 Injured
A tourist bus in Turkey has plunged off a cliff while on its way to the city of Mudanya in the coastal province of Bursa. At least five people have died, and 38 others have been injured, according to the Turkish publication Milliyet.
Initial reports indicate that a brake failure caused the accident. The driver lost control, veered off the highway, and fell off the cliff. The incident occurred around noon on August 28.
It has been reported that the bus driver and two passengers died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital. The remaining injured individuals have been hospitalized.
Turkish medical emergency services, firefighters, rescuers, and law enforcement officials were deployed to the scene.
