Burned Body of a Woman Recovered from the Ruins: Situation at ‘Surmalu’
The second victim has been recovered from the explosion at the ‘Surmalu’ trade center in Yerevan. Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Artush Grigoryan announced that the burned body of a woman has been extracted from the rubble.
Grigoryan informed Sputnik Armenia that the identity of the victim has not yet been established. The body was found in a severely burned and unrecognizable state. He confirmed only that the victim is female.
It is worth recalling that, according to the Emergency Situations Ministry, an alarm was received at the National Crisis Management Center on August 14 at 13:23, indicating that an explosion occurred at the ‘Surmalu’ trade center.
A total of 10 firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene with a complexity level of “Number 2” fire response.
